The concrete industry and its allied industries are considered the development infrastructure of the country. Despite the importance of this industry in construction, as well as its impact on energy consumption and environmental pollution, the production cycle and optimal consumption of cement in the production of concrete and the production and consumption of quality concrete with inadequate properties (low strength and durability) are the main problems of this industry. Specific document 1404 was compiled with the aim of improving the quality of strength and durability of concrete and reinforced concrete structures in the country. According to this document, the qualitative improvement of consumer concrete in the country was aimed at different priorities, such as increasing the standard strength category of concrete, optimizing cement consumption, developing production and consumption culture. Considering that cement is the most important component of concrete, certainly with the implementation of Concrete Document 1404, cement manufacturers in the country can play an effective role in implementing a strict quality control system and improving product quality and producing products with higher compressive strength. Definition:

Used as a general purpose Portland cement. This type of cement is the last type of Type 1 cement which has a compressive strength of at least 525 kg/cm2 in 28 days.

scope of useage:

According to the national standard of Iran (No. 389), the type of Portland cement (525-1) can be used in the following cases:

1- High Resistance Concrete (HPC) structure

2- Commercial construction that requires quick opening of molds.

3- Construction of large prefabricated elements such as underpasses, electric poles, light concrete industry including foam concrete and lightweight blocks.

4- Use in cold seasons due to grip and high initial resistance.

Advantages of using cement grade 1-525:

According to surveys, although on average concrete structures and products should have a useful life of at least 100 years, despite the large volumes of investment in this industry, due to non-compliance with some technical issues, concrete structures and products in our country have an average of 40 years of reliability.

Also, the strength of concrete used in the construction of buildings in the country is a maximum of 25 megapascals and is limited to a maximum of 20 megapascals in more than 70% of buildings. While in developed countries the production and consumption of concrete with a strength of 50 to 70 megapascals is becoming increasingly widespread. In this regard, the need to use high-strength cement to increase the durability and service life of structures is quite tangible. In addition, when using cement with high compressive strength under equal conditions, significant savings can be achieved on cement consumption.

Consumption of cement 525-1 in Central Asian countries:

Due to the fact that a large number of 1-525 products of this company have been exported to Central Asian countries since 2009, many projects have been built in the above countries, especially Azerbaijan.
